Travels
Scotland
The weather forecast was iffy for this day, but it seemed to be clearing up upon our arrival to Arran.
Taken while hiking on the Isle of Arran (Scotland) on our way to Goat Fell (2,866 ft).
Scotland
The weather did get iffy (wind, fog and horizontal rain) while ascending toward Goat Fell, but the view over this glacier-dug valley was quite astonishing.
The weather forecast is truly horrible that day. This poor sheep is trying to find a refuge.
This is what we've braved the lashing, horizontal rain for.
Took a road trip with a couple of friends around the Kintyre Peninsula.
Istanbul, Turkey
Floating flags and Blue Mosque in Background.
From the roof top of the restaurant Doy Doy in Itsanbul, Turkey
Those pieces of mosaics dating from the Roman time are visible where the coating is coming off. The coating was put by the Muslims when they converted this amazing building into the mosque Aya Sofia. This is one of the most amazing historical places I've ever seen. To know more about its history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hagia_Sophia
An amazing place full of treasures and delights. First time in my life I tried haggling.
This is a view over Istanbul (Asian side) from one the islands on the Sea of Marmara. We visited an old monastery and noticed the (very) numerous) cats and dogs bathing in the sun. Wherever you looked on the horizon you can see the city spreading infinitely, with a population of nearly 14 million people.
Road Trip Yellowstone NP to Grand Canyon
We took the train from Syracuse, New York, to Salt Lake City, Utah, in order to begin our road trip between Yellowstone NP, Grand Teton, Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon. The train trip took 3 days, with a few-hour stopover in Chicago, Illinois. We woke up every morning in totally different sceneries. This view is of one the cattle ranches somewhere in Colorado or Kansas.
Arriving to the Rocky Mountains.
We drove from Salt Lake City, Utah, to Yellowstone NP, going through amazingly vast lanscapes.
After driving for hours in desertic landscapes we suddenly arrived (under some sudden rain shower and thunder) to a vast lake in the middle of nowhere: Bear Lake. The colors were truly amazing, ranging in all shades of blue under changing skies.
This is the first place we stopped in our trip around Yellowstone NP. We waited for 20 minutes for the geyser to erupt.
